Biography:

Nidhi Subbaiah was born on February 16, 1987 in Kodagu, Karnataka, India. She attended Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering where she took Civil Engineering though she dropped out after a year.

She first worked as a model, appearing in various print and television ads. In 2009, she made her film debut with the Kannada movie Abhimaani. She appeared in two more Kannada films, Chamkaysi Chindi Udaysi and Krishna Nee Late Aagi Baaro.

She then made her breakthrough in 2010 after being cast as Ambika in the feature Pancharangi. For her role, she received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress in Kannada category.
