Numan Acar is a German actor. He began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in short films. In 2004, he made his acting debut in the Turkish-German film Kebab Connection. The next couple of years he mostly appeared in low-budget feature films. In the 2010s, he landed more roles in German cinema. He also appeared in the 2013 South Korean film The Berlin File. The following year, he had his Hollywood debut in the American movie Rosewater. He has since appeared in other Hollywood productions, including The Promise and 12 Strong. Acar also appeared in the film The Great Wall and played Hakim in 2019’s Aladdin. Recently, he portrayed Dimitri Smerdyakov in the superhero film Spider-Man: Far From Home. On TV, he played the recurring role of Haissam Haqqani in Homeland.
