Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra recently started her acting career in the 2010s. Her Bollywood debut was in the film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. For her performance, she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She was also nominated for the same award in the Supporting Actress category. She then starred in the movie Ishaqzaade. Her acting here was also praised, hence her Best Actress nomination at the Filmfare awards. She was nominated again for the same award and category for her work in the movie Shuddh Desi Romance. She has since starred in other Hindi movies. This includes Hasee Toh Phasee, Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dil.
It’s no secret that the Ladies vs Ricky Bahl actress weighed more during her initial years. But through dedication, discipline and hard work, she was able to succeed in losing some pounds and turned her body into a slender and curvy physique. About her dramatic weight loss, she said: “BEFORE… All my life, I have struggled with how I look, how I feel, and how people looked at me. I was constantly made fun of, but the person I was, I generously laughed with them. Today, many people ask me what triggered the weight loss, did I give in to the ‘Bollywood pressure’? To that I say – thank god I became an actor and had that pressure! I am able to achieve what I couldn’t achieve otherwise. I feel more confident, I feel at peace, and I feel proud!”
Aside from a healthy diet plan, she works out on a regular basis to maintain her weight. She’s not really fond of going to the gym or using the treadmill, though she still hits the gym occasionally. Instead, she mixes up her workout regimen. She likes dancing, meditating, yoga and swimming. She also engages in martial arts from Kerala called Kalaripayattu. Enjoying her current health and fitness, the actress said: “Every time I look at myself, I feel like working harder.”
