Biography:
Patrick Fugit was born on October 27, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He made his acting debut on television in 1997 with the TV series Touched by an Angel. He next acted in the TV movie Legion of Fire: Killer Ants!. In 2000, he made his cinematic debut in Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous, where he played a notable role and was critically praised for it. He was then offered for the titular character in the indie film Donnie Darko, but he declined.
In the next few years, he’s had roles in the films White Oleander, Saved!, Dead Birds, and The Amateurs. In the late 2000s, his roles in movies became less frequent with only five films from 2006 to 2010. He returned in 2011 with a role in We Bought a Zoo. After appearing in Reckless, he played a police officer in Gone Girl. Recently in 2016, he started playing the lead role of Kyle Barnes on the new TV series Outcast.
