Peter Capaldi is a Scottish actor whose career started in the ’80s. He debuted in the 1982 film Living Apart Together, followed by the movie Local Hero. He later portrayed George Harrison on the made-for-television movie John and Yoko: A Love Story. He later had a role in the movie Dangerous Liaisons. He had his major breakthrough in the 2000s as Malcolm Tucker on the British comedy series The Thick of It, which he starred in from 2005 to 2011. He next starred as the Twelfth Doctor on the long-running series Doctor Who, playing the role from 2013 to 2017. He also played Cardinal Richelieu on the BBC series The Musketeers.
