Phoebe Cates is an American actress. She had her career beginnings when she debuted in the 1982 film Paradise. At the same time, she had her breakthrough role as Linda Barrett in Cameron Crowe’s film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The rest of the 1980s saw her star in the films Private School, Gremlins, Date with an Angel, Bright Lights, Big City, Shag, and Hart of Dixie. Meanwhile, she made her television debut on the TV film Baby Sister. She also starred as Elizabeth “Lili” Lace on the miniseries Lace and its sequel Lace II. In the ’90s, she reprised her role as Kate Beringer in the Gremlins sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch. She also portrayed Princess Caraboo/Mary Baker in the film Princess Caraboo. Her last role on the big screen was in 2001’s The Anniversary Party.
