Biography:

Pooja Chopra was born on May 3, 1985 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She first came to prominence after being crowned as the Femina Miss India in 2009. She then represented India in the Miss World pageant where she was a semi-finalist and won the Beauty With A Purpose award.

In 2011, she ventured into acting with her debut in the Tamil feature Ponnar Shankar where she played the lead role of Princess Muthaayi. The following year, she starred as Shaheen Khan in the Hindi film Heroine.

She went on to secure the lead role in the 2013 Bollywood movie Commando, playing the role of Simrit Sarabjit Kaur. She reprised her role in the film’s sequel, Commando 2, the following year.
