Poonam Dhillon is an Indian actress turned politician. She has been acting since the 1970s, debuting in the 1978 film Trishul. During the 1980s, she had roles in several Hindi films, including Romance, Sohni Mahiwal, Teri Meherbaniyan, Samundar, Saveray Wali Gaadi, Karma, Naam, and Maalamaal, among others. She continued her career in the ’90s with roles in the movies Pathar Ke Insan, Deshwasi, and Qurbani Rang Layegi, to name a few. In the 2000s, she made her Telugu debut in Ishtam. She later appeared on the reality series Bigg Boss 3 as a contestant where she placed 2nd runner-up. This year, she starred in the feature film Jai Mummy Di.
