Poonam Pandey was born on March 11, 1991 in Delhi, India. She started her entertainment career as a model, becoming one of the Top eight contestants of Gladrags in 2010.

She has posed for 29 calendars for 2011, including the Gladrags calendar. She was also featured in the Kingfisher calendar in 2011 and posed for International Business Times.

In 2013, she landed the female lead in the film Nasha playing the role of Anita, in which she received mixed reviews from critics.
