Biography:

Poorna Jagannathan was born on 22 December 1972 in Tunis, Tunisia. She first attended University of Brasilia, Brazil. She later moved to the University of Maryland where she finished a degree in Journalism. She went on to study acting at The Actor’s Studio though she only attended for a year. In 2004, she started her professional acting career. She made her debut in an episode of Law & Order.

She has since appeared in other shows, including Rescue Me and Love Monkey. Her first movie role was in 2004’s She Hate Me, followed by a role in the movie The Weather Man. In 2010, she had a notable role in the show Royal Pains. She later had roles in the films Delhi Belly and Thanks for Sharing. She went on to have remarkable roles in the show House Of Cards as well as in the miniseries The Night Of. Her latest roles were in the show Gypsy and in the movie The Circle.
