Biography:

Portia de Rossi was born on January 31, 1973 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. She started her career as a model, appearing in print and television commercials.

In 1994, she had her first significant role in the Australian film Sirens. She soon moved to Los Angeles where she landed a regular role in Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher.

She went on to appear in such films as Scream 2, Girl, Stigmata and The Invisibles, among others. In 2003, she got the part of Lindsay Bluth Fünke in Arrested Development, for which she earned various awards and nominations.
