She later had guest roles on the television shows The New Adventures of Robin Hood, Bugs, The Bill, and Highlander: The Series. Her first movie role was in 1997’s Photographing Fairies, followed by the film Lighthouse. In the 2000s, she had roles in the films The Calling, The Bone Snatcher, Seeing Other People, Gray Matters, and The Children. She also became known on television for starring as Helena Peabody on The L Word. In the 2010s, she had recurring roles as Supt Yvonne Rippon on Casualty and Shelley Morrison on Rogue.
