Biography:

Rajkummar Rao was born on 31 August 1984 in Gurugram, India. After attending the University of Delhi, he studied acting at the Film and Television Institute of India. In 2010, he made his film debut in Love Sex Aur Dhokha. After small roles on the big screen, he had his breakout role in 2013’s Kai Po Che! That same year, he portrayed lawyer Shahid Azmi in the film Shahid. For his performance, he won the Best Actor Award at the National Film Award and the Filmfare Critics Award.

He went on to star in the well-known and acclaimed films Queen, CityLights, Aligarh and Trapped. His performance in Trapped won him another Filmfare Award for Best Actor. In 2017, he starred in Bareilly Ki Barfi and won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. More recently, he had starring performances in Stree, Love Sonia, 5 Weddings, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, and Judgementall Hai Kya.
