Biography:

Ranbir Kapoor was born on September 28, 1982 in Mumbai, India. His father is actor Rishi Kapoor and his mother is actress Neetu Singh.

He attended the School of Visual Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where he studied film making and method acting.

He made his acting debut in the 2007 film Saawariya, for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He had commercial success in his next film, the 2008 romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno.

He has since appeared in such films as Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
