Biography:

Raveena Tandon was born on October 26, 1974 in Bombay, India. She made her acting debut in the 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool, for which she won a Filmfare Lux New Face Award for her role as Kiran in the film.

She then starred in a number of commercially successful films in the 1990s such as Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Ziddi.

In the early 2000s, she transitioned into more serious roles and focused towards arthouse and parallel cinema. As a result of this shifting, she received much acclaim for her performance in the 2001 film Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence.
