It was in 1997 that Rebecca Romijn got her acting start. Her debut was in an episode of Friends. She later became the host of the show House of Style. She also portrayed Kimberly Hefner in the made-for-television film Hefner: Unauthorized. Afterward, she appeared in eight episodes of the series Adrienne Barker. In 2000, she gained recognition for playing Raven Darkhölme / Mystique in X-Men.
She reprised her role in the sequels X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. In 2006, she played the lead in the short-lived series Pepper Dennis. Subsequently, she became known for her role as Alexis Meade in Ugly Betty. Her next work on television was as Roxanne Torcoletti in Eastwick. From 2014 to 2016, she hosted the show Skin Wars. Since 2014, she’s been starring as Eve in the TV series The Librarians.
After giving birth to twin daughters back in 2008, the actress pretty much lost her post-baby weight and gained back her slender and toned figure. How did she do it? In an interview, she became candid about her workout routine and her other physical efforts that led her to become slender and fit again. She said: Everything I did before I got pregnant — like Pilates, which I had done for about 14 years — didn’t work anymore. I had to find a completely different way to challenge my body.”
She continued: “A friend suggested I try Bikram yoga. At first the idea of doing a 90-minute workout in a 105-degree room sounded like torture. But the sweating is exactly what I became addicted to.” When it comes to her regular workout week, she revealed: “I do Bikram three days a week, and I run after my twins every day — a workout in itself! I was doing yoga five days a week, but then I started to realize that my body was fatigued and my back was hurting. I think it’s important to listen to your body and know when you’re overdoing it.”
