Biography:

Rhys Wakefield was born on November 20, 1988 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. He received a scholarship and attended McDonald College of Performing Arts. He has since appeared in various Shakespeare festivals and has worked with Opera Australia and the Australian Ballet.

He made his screen debut in an uncredited appearance in the 2000 film Bootmen. Two years after, he appeared in an episode of the television series Don’t Blame Me. From 2005 to 2008, he became known as Lucas Holden in Home and Away.

In 2008, he was cast as Thomas Mollison in The Black Balloon. He has since starred in other feature films, including Broken Hill, Sanctum, Nobody Walks, and The Purge, among others.
