Rhys Wakefield is an Australian actor. In 2000, he made his film debut with a small role in Bootmen. He later became known for his role as Lucas Holden in the Australian soap opera Home and Away. After this, he starred in the film The Black Balloon. For his performance, he received an AACTA nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Wakefield soon ventured into Hollywood, acting in the 2012 film Nobody Walks. He next had roles in the films The Purge, +1, Endless Love, Echoes of War, Cardboard Boxer, and Paint It Black. In 2017, he played a supporting role in the Netflix film You Get Me. Recently, he starred as Freddy Burns in HBO’s True Detective.
