Biography:

Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988 in St. Michael, Barbados. Her career started when she met record producer Evan Rogers in 2003. She then recorded demo tapes, which were sent to several record labels. She subsequently signed with Def Jam Recordings.

She released her debut album, Music of the Sun, in 2005. The second album, A Girl Like Me, was released the following year. Both peaked in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

Her breakthrough came in her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, with its lead single, Umbrella topping all the charts. Since then, she has received numerous accolades, including six Grammy awards.
