Biography:
Riz Ahmed was born on December 1, 1982 in Wembley, London, England. His family moved from Pakistan to England in the ’70s. He got his acting training from the Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2006, he made his debut in the British film The Road to Guantánamo. He also appeared on the miniseries The Path to 9/11.
He got his first lead role in the British film Shifty, which got him a British Independent Film Award nomination for Best Actor. He has gotten the same nominations for his roles in the films Four Lions and The Reluctant Fundamentalist. He got further notice for his role in the Hollywood film Nightcrawler. He recently had a role in the film Jason Bourne. He also played the lead as Nasir Khan on the HBO miniseries The Night Of.
