Robert Gossett is an American actor. He started his career in the 1980s, debuting in the film Over the Brooklyn Bridge. Later in the 1990s, he had a small role in the superhero film Batman Returns. He later had performances in the movies The Net, White Man’s Burden, The Maker, and Arlington Road. Continuing his career in the 2000s, he had roles in the films The Inner Circle and Flying By. It was also during this period that he became largely known for his role as Commander Russell Taylor on TNT’s The Closer. He went on to reprise his role in the spin-off show Major Crimes.
