Biography:

Rosa Salazar was born on July 16, 1985 in British Columbia, Canada. Her performing career started in New York. There, she was involved with CollegeHumor and appeared in a couple of sketches. In 2009, she decided to leave New York for Los Angeles to further look for acting opportunities. Upon moving, she was cast as Nurse Maria, a recurring character in the popular show American Horror Story: Murder House in 2011.

This was followed by another recurring character, this time as Zoe DeHaven in Parenthood. She has since made one-episode appearances in such television shows as Ben and Kate, Hello Ladies, and Body of Proof. She recently gained recognition for her appearances on the big screen, as Lynn in The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015) and as Brenda in Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015). Her first leading role is in 2015’s Night Owls.
