Biography:

Rupert Friend was born on October 9, 1981 in Stonesfield, Oxfordshire, England, UK. He made a strong debut for his role as Downs in the 2004 film The Libertine, which earned him significant attention. He then found greater recognition for playing Mr. Wickham in 2005’s Pride & Prejudice.

He has since starred in such movies as The Moon and the Stars, Outlaw, The Last Legion, JoleneThe Boy in the Striped Pajamas, The Young Victoria, and Chéri. In the 2010s, he has starred in 5 Days of War and Starred Up, the latter of which got him a British Independent Film Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He stars as the lead role in the upcoming action film Hitman: Agent 47.
