34-year-old heartthrob Ryan Gosling has been in the entertainment industry since he was a kid. When he was younger, he was into singing and dancing with Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club as his most popular gig at the time. His transition into acting first happened on television with starring roles in Breaker High and Young Hercules. Talented and charming as he is, he later gained recognition as a movie star, first for his role in Murder by Numbers. His international fame was cemented by his memorable performance in The Notebook with Rachel McAdams.
Since then, the actor has been in a lot of well-known films and has even received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Half Nelson in 2006. For his role in 2011’s Crazy, Stupid, Love, the actor showed his new toned and muscular body, which he achieved through rigorous and disciplined training. With the help of celebrity trainer Kui Puk, Ryan maintains his healthy and fabulous shape.
For his 2013 movie Only God Forgives, the Academy Award-nominated got into doing Muay Thai, which became an important part of his training. The actor commented how his training method could be painful but that he still likes it. Before doing his main routine, the actor makes it a point to do some warm-up exercises to prepare his body for the primary event. He does this by running on treadmill, doing barbell squats, reverse dumbbell lunges, bench press, chin ups, bicep curls, and triceps rope extension. He then takes a 15-minute break after all these warm-ups.
Ryan’s discipline in getting fit and healthy is visible (just look at his photo on the left). He regularly works out for two hours and never misses. As for doing Muay Thai, he reportedly does this kind of training three times a week, during Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
