Sam Neill is a New Zealand actor. He has since ventured into writing, directing, and producing. During his start in the 1970s, he appeared in the films Sleeping Dogs and Just Out of Reach. In 1981, he played Damien Thorn in the horror movie Omen III: The Final Conflict. The following decade, he became best known for starring in the film Dead Calm. He later had starring roles in the films The Hunt for Red October and The Piano before getting the part of Dr. Alan Grant in 1993’s Jurassic Park.
He went on to star in Event Horizon and The Horse Whisperer. In 2001, he reprised his role as Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park III. That same year, he starred in The film The Zookeeper. He then starred in many more films, including Perfect Strangers, Wimbledon, and Irresistible, to name a few. Later, he played Cardinal Thomas Wolsey on the TV series The Tudors and Jeremiah Blackthorn on Crusoe. Neill also played C. I. Campbell in Peaky Blinders.
