Biography:
Sam Rockwell was born on November 5, 1968 in Daly City, California, USA. He relocated to New York to pursue acting after graduating in high school and appearing in an independent film.
While in New York, he trained at the William Esper Studios. He then landed numerous roles on television such as in The Equalizer, NYPD Blue and Law & Order, as well as a minor part in the film Last Exit to Brooklyn.
His breakthrough came with George Clooney’s directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The following year, he gained further fame for his performance in the film Matchstick Men.
