Biography:
Sandra Oh was born on July 20, 1971 in Nepean, Ontario, Canada. She started her career as a ballet dancer and eventually studied drama at the National Theatre School in Montreal.
She became widely known in Canada for her lead performance in the Canadian film Double Happiness, for which she received the Genie Award for Best Actress.
She went on to star in American films such as Under the Tuscan Sun and Sideways.
As of 2005, she portrays Dr. Christina Yang in the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, which earned her five Emmy nominations.
