Biography:

Sarah Shahi was born on January 10, 1980 in Euless, Texas, U.S. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she majored in English and Theater.

She worked as an extra for Dr. T and the Women and while on the set, she met director Robert Altman, who encouraged her to move to Hollywood.

She became best known for her roles as DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales in The L Word and as Dani Reese in Life. Her film work includes A Lot Like Love, Rush Hour 3, I Don’t Know How She Does It and Bullet to the Head, among others.
