Biography:

Sarah Silverman was born on December 1, 1970, in Bedford, New Hampshire, U.S. When she was 17, she started doing stand-up comedy in Boston. She studied at New York University but left after a year. She instead worked as a stand-up comedian in Greenwich Village. From 1993 to 1994, she appeared on the sketch-comedy show Saturday Night Live as a featured player, as well as a writer.

She next appeared on the show Mr. Show with Bob and David. In 1997, she made her cinematic debut starring in the film she also wrote, Who’s the Caboose? She next had roles in the movies There’s Something About Mary and The Bachelor. In the 2000s, she starred as Alison Kaiser on the Fox sitcom Greg the Bunny. She later had her own show in 2007 called The Sarah Silverman Program. Recently, she hosts the show I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman.
