Biography:

Sarah Wayne Callies was born on June 1, 1977 in La Grange, Illinois, U.S. She attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and earned her Master of Fine Arts degree at Denver’s National Theater Conservatory.

In 2003, she made her television debut in an episode of the series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has since appeared in such shows as Queens Supreme, Tarzan and Numb3rs.

She then gained fame for some of her notable roles on television such as the part of Dr. Sara Tancredi in Prison Break and Lori Grimes in The Walking Dead. In film, she has starred in The Celestine Prophecy, Whisper, Black Gold and Faces in the Crowd.
