Scott Bakula is an American actor whose career started in 1980s. Initially, he had notable roles in such television shows as Gung Ho and Designing Women. He later became known for starring as Dr. Sam Beckett in the NBC series Quantum Leap. After this, he starred as Peter Hunt in the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown. Also during the ’90s, he had performances in the films Sibling Rivalry, Necessary Roughness, Color of Night, Lord of Illusions, and American Beauty. More recently in the 2000s and 2010s, he played Stephen J. Bartowski in Chuck, Terry Elliott in Men of Certain Age, Trip Weston in Desperate Housewives, and Lynn in Looking. As of 2014, he stars as Dwayne Pride in NCIS: New Orleans.
