Biography:

Selma Blair was born on June 23, 1972 in Southfield, Michigan, USA. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York to pursue photography but found her way to acting classes at The Stellar Adler Conservatory and The Column Theatre.

In 1999, she gained mainstream attention after starring in the film Cruel Intentions. She then achieved international prominence as a result of her portrayal of Liz Sherman in Hellboy and its sequel, Hellboy II: Golden Army.

Some of her other movies include Legally Blonde, The Sweetest Thing, The Fog, Purple Violets and Columbus Circle.
