Biography:

Shahana Goswami was born on 6 May 1986 in New Delhi, India. She studied in Mumbai and also moved there to explore and pursue acting where she was first involved with a theater group. Eventually, she got into movies, making her Bollywood debut in 2006’s Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Her next role was in the movie Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd..

Her role as Debbie Mascarenhas in the 2008 film Rock On!! won her acclaim, for which she received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. She next starred in the film Firaaq, which also got her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Filmfare Awards. In the 2010s, she starred in the English-language films Midnight’s Children and Vara: A Blessing. In 2016, she reprised her role as Debbie in Rock On II. Her most recent films were Gali Guliyan and Made in Bangladesh.
