Biography:

Shahid Kapoor was born on February 25, 1981 in New Delhi, India. He began his career in the entertainment industry as a model where he appeared in a number of commercials and music videos.

In 2003, he made his Bollywood debut in the movie Ishq Vishk, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He followed it with two more films, Fida and Shikhar.

He then made his first commercial success in the 2006 film Vivah. In 2007, he starred in the film Jab We Met where he received his first Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actor.
