Biography:
Sharon Leal was born on October 17, 1972 in Tucson, Arizona to a Filipino mother and an African-American father. In 1996, she made her acting debut on the screen as Dahlia Crede on the soap opera Guiding Light. She next starred as Marita on the TV series Legacy. It aired on the small screen for a season. She continued her prolific career in the 2000s. During this period, she became further known for her role as Marylin Sudor on Boston Public.
She went on to garner further popularity when she starred as Michelle Morris in the feature film Dreamgirls. Subsequently, she had roles in the films Why Did I Get Married?, Soul Men, Linewatch and Why Did I Get Married Too?. She had also joined the main cast of Hellcats as Vanessa Lodge. More recently, she starred on the short-lived series Recovery Road. In the present, she plays a recurring part of Miss Martian on Supergirl.
