Sheryl Lee is an American actress. She started acting in the late 1980s, debuting in the 1987 film The Pink Chiquitas. In 1990, she gained recognition for starring as Laura Palmer / Maddy Ferguson in Twin Peaks. She reprised her role in the feature film sequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. She later portrayed Astrid Kirchherr in the movie Backbeat. Afterward, she had performances in the films Notes from Underground, Mother Night, Bliss, This World, Then the Fireworks, and Vampires, among others. She went on to play Dr. Sarah Church in the medical-drama L.A. Doctors. Lee also played Elizabeth “Ellie” Harp in One Tree Hill. Afterward, she starred as Andrea Smithson in the ABC series Dirty Sexy Money. Her latest film role was in 2016’s Café Society. She reprised her role as Laura Palmer in Twin Peaks: The Return.
