Biography:

Shilpa Shetty was born on June 8, 1975 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. She began her career at the age of 16, when she modeled for Limca in 1991.

She followed this with her film debut in the 1993 movie Baazigar. Playing the role of Seema, she received a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.

The following year, she starred in her first leading role in the film Aag. In 2000, she was critically acclaimed for her performance in the film Dhadkan.

She went on to star in the film Rishtey, for which she earned her second Filmfare nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
