Biography:

Shirley Henderson was born on November 24, 1965 in Forres, Moray, Scotland. At the age of 17, she moved to London where she attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated in 1986.

The following year, she was cast as Elizabeth Findlay in the children’s TV drama Shadow of the Stone. She has since appeared in other television serials such as Wish Me Luck, Hamish Macbeth and The Way We Live Now, among others.

On film, she made her debut in the 1995 feature Rob Roy, followed by Trainspotting in 1996. She went on to star in other well-known films like Bridget Jones’s Diary and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
