Biography:

Skylar Astin was born on September 23, 1987 in New York City, New York, USA. His first acting role was in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening. After this, he made his cinematic debut in the 2008 film Hamlet 2, after which he had a role in the movie Taking Woodstock.

His breakout role on the big screen was as Jesse Swanson in the musical comedy film Pitch Perfect. He has since reprised his role in the sequel Pitch Perfect 2. He also voiced the role of Roy in the animated film Wreck-It Ralph. Astin has also performed in the films 21 & Over, Cavemen, Flock of Dudes, and many others. On TV, he starred on Ground Floor, Graves, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
