Biography:

Sonal Chauhan was born on 16 May 1987 in Delhi, India. She joined beauty pageants and won Miss World Tourism in 2005. She became the first Indian to have won the said title. This led her to becoming a model, appearing in many commercials. In 2008, she made her Bollywood debut in the movie Jannat. This got her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Female Debut.

Around the same time she made her Telugu debut in Rainbow. Two years later, she entered Kannada films with Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu. She became more active in the 2010s, beginning with 2011’s Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap. In the recent years, she had mostly starred in Telugu films. This includes Legend, Pandaga Chesko, and Size Zero. In 2015, she made her first role in Tamil cinema with Inji Iduppazhagi.
