Sophia Taylor Ali was born on November 7, 1995 in San Diego, California. In 2003, she made her acting debut in the TV show K Street. She later appeared in 3 episodes of the children’s show Barney & Friends. She went on to have roles in the movies Missionary Man and The Longshots. In the 2010s, Ali landed one-time roles on some TV shows, including Shake It Up!, CSI: Miami, Melissa & Joey, and Tyrant.

Her first recurring role was as Sabrina on the MTV show Faking It. Afterward, she guest-starred in The Mindy Project and got the recurring part of Dr. Dahlia Qadri on Grey’s Anatomy, a role she still plays up to present. She also had performances in the films Everybody Wants Some!! and Truth or Dare.
