Biography:

Sophie McShera was born on January 1, 1985 in Holme Wood, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, UK. After graduating from high school, she studied at the Footsteps Theatre School where she performed in the stage production of The Goodbye Girl.

She then attended Brunel University, London where she received a degree in drama. In 2007, she made her television debut with the series Emmerdale. She has since appeared in other shows like Doctors, Survivors, and Waterloo Road.

In 2010, she gained further fame for her role as Daisy Robinson in the TV series Downtown Abbey, which she still plays up to present.
