Sophie Turner was born on February 21, 1996 in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, UK. She came to prominence in 2011 after she began playing the role of Sansa Stark in the critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones. Her performance in the show has brought her positive reception, earning her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Supporting Young Actress in 2012.

She then made her film debut in 2013’s Another Me and appeared in the TV movie The Thirteenth Tale that same year. She has major projects coming up such as Barely Lethal and Mary Shelley’s Monster. She has also been cast as Jean Grey in the upcoming superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse, due for release in 2016.
