Biography:

Stana Katic was born on April 26, 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She attended University of Toronto before enrolling at Chicago’s Goodman School of Drama, where she studied acting for two years.

She has appeared in numerous television shows such as Alias, Heroes, 24, The Closer, ER, CSI: Miami, The Unit and Would Be Kings.

She also had supporting roles in such films as Feast of Love, Stiletto, Quantum of Solace, The Spirit, Truth About Kerry, For Lovers Only and The Double, among others.

As of 2009, she plays Detective Kate Beckett in the ABC series Castle.
