Biography:

Stephanie Beatriz was born on February 10, 1981 in Neuquén, Argentina. She was raised in the US as her family moved to America when she was only three. After completing her degree from Stephens College, she decided to go to New York City to become an actress. In 2009, she made her first TV appearance in The Closer. Her next acting gig came three years later when she appeared in the TV movie The Smart One.

Her first recurring role on the small screen was as Sonia in the comedy series Modern Family. Subsequently, she landed guest spots in such television shows as Southland, Jessie, and Hello Ladies. Around the same time, she began playing the role of Detective Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, earning her recognition. She has also appeared in the movies Short Term 12 (film debut) and You’re Not You.
