Stephen Dorff is an American actor. He had his career beginnings in the 1980s, debuting in the TV series The New Leave It to Beaver. In 1987, he made his big screen debut in the film The Gate. During the 1990s, he gained recognition for his performances in the movies Rescue Me, Judgment Night, Backbeat, and Innocent Lies. Dorff later portrayed Candy Darling in the feature film I Shot Andy Warhol. He next starred as Deacon Frost in Blade. He also starred as Tucker Brannigan in the TV series What a Dummy. In the 2000s, he starred in the films Cecil B. Demented, Den of Lions, Cold Creek Manor, Alone in the Dark, and World Trade Center. He next portrayed Homer Van Meter in the 2009 movie Public Enemies. More recently, he became more active on TV. He starred as Brody Dean in the musical drama series Star, as well as played Roland West in True Detective’s Season 3.
