Stephen Lang is an American actor. His acting career began in the 1980s. He debuted in the 1985 film Twice in a Lifetime. He later became known for playing Freddy Lounds in Manhunter. From 1986 to 1988, he starred as Attorney David Abrams in the NBC series Crime Story. In the 1990s, he starred in the films Gettysburg, Tombstone, Shadow Conspiracy, and Niagara, Niagara, among others. The following decade, Lang had performances in the movies Gods and Generals, Save Me, and Public Enemies. He later became widely known for playing Colonel Miles Quaritch in James Cameron 2009 blockbuster Avatar. In the 2010s, he starred in the movies The Girl on the Train, Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, Don’t Breathe, and Beyond Valkyrie: Dawn of the 4th Reich, among others. He’ll reprise his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch in the upcoming sequels Avatar 2 and Avatar 3.
