Biography:

Sushmita Sen was born on November 19, 1975 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. She is a title holder, having been crowned Miss Universe in 1994, becoming the first Indian to win the crown.

She pursued acting after her reign, beginning her career with Dastak, a film that is said to be about her life. She then rose to fame as an actress for her role in the Tamil film Ratchagan.

In 1999, she starred in the movie Biwi No. 1, for which she garnered the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She has since appeared in box-office hits such as Aankhen and Main Hoon Na, among others.
