Biography:

Sutton Foster was born on March 18, 1975 in Statesboro, Georgia, U.S. At the age of 15, she competed in the television show Star Search and auditioned to join the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club.

She studied at the Carnegie Mellon University for one year but dropped out to pursue acting full-time. Her first Broadway role came in 1996 when she starred in Grease.

She has since earned two Tony Awards, the first one was in 2002 for her role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and the second was for her role in Anything Goes. She recently starred as Michelle Simms in the series Bunheads.
