Biography:

Swara Bhasker was born on 9 April 1988 in Delhi, India. She attended Miranda House and graduated with an English literature degree. She also completed a master’s degree in sociology. She later pursued an acting career, debuting in the film Madholal Keep Walking in 2009. Although a flop, she continued acting and this time attained success with a supporting role in the movie Tanu Weds Manu in 2011.

Her acting was also praised, receiving a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination. She was once again praised for her performance in the 2013 movie Raanjhanaa. Her popularity grew even more with roles in box office hits Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Her knack for acting was further proven with acclaimed performances in the films Nil Battey Sannata and Anaarkali of Aarah.
